A light smooth ale that is crisp and refreshing!

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 12 liters
7 HCU (~6 SRM)
Bitterness: 25 IBU
OG: 1.045 FG: 1.017
Alcohol: 3.5% v/v (2.8% w/w)
Water: Christchurch NZ - tap water
Grain: 550g German Vienna
10g Raw wheat
Steep: Grain and wheat ground in mill then added to water prior to boil. Water then run through sieve and boil started.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.049 11 liters
1.5kg Light malt extract
Hops: 15g Czech Saaz (3.4% AA, 60 min.)
15g Czech Saaz (3.4% AA, 45 min.)
15g Czech Saaz (3.4% AA, 15 min.)
10g Czech Saaz (3.4% AA, 5 min.)
10g Czech Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: Safale Dryed Yeast
Log: Primary fermentation started on 12/3/04, secondary started on 26/3/04. Bottled on 27/3/04.
