Hobgoblin Extra Strong Clone

Bitterness: 26 IBU
OG: 1.059 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: I use 4T ph 5.2.
Grain: 43.0 lb. British Pale (Maris Otter)
1.50 lb. British crystal 50-60L
4.0 oz. British chocolate
2 oz. British black patent
Mash: 70% efficiency
Mash in at 153, recirculate until clear (about 20 minutes) and then sparge (about 45 minutes).
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.054 22 gallons
1 lb. Malto Dextrin
I add 4 Whirfloc tablets
Hops: 3 oz. Progress (7% AA, 60 min.)
2.67 oz. Styrian Goldings (5.5% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Styrian Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: The recipe calls for Wyeast 1187 or Wyeast 1084.
Ferment at 68-72. Let sit in secondary for 3 weeks.
