Alcohol: 4.6% v/v (3.6% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. Gambrinus Honey Malt
8 oz. Malted White Wheat
Steep: Steep grains in 160° F. water for 30 minutes.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.086 3 gallons
6 lb. Alexander's Wheat Malt Extract
1 lb. Fireweed Honey
1/2 tsp Irish Moss (15 Minutes)
Hops: 1 oz. Mount Hood Pellets (4.0% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Mount Hood Pellets (4.0% AA, 20 min.)
Yeast: Cooper's Dry Ale Yeast rehyd. 15 minutes prior to pitching in 80° F.
pre-boiled water.
Log: Primary Ferment-6 days in glass
Secondary Ferment-13 days in glass
After half of batch was bottled I add 2oz. of Raspberry Extract to
the rest of the batch.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup Corn Sugar
Tasting: Next time I will use a liquid yeast. Maybe Wyeast #1056 (American Ale)
or White Labs #WLP001 (California Ale).
