Alcohol: 6.3% v/v (4.9% w/w)
Water: Spring water.
Grain: 7 lb. German Pilsner
5 lb. Belgian Munich
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 75% efficiency
German 2-Decoction from Brwer's Companion.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.057 6.5 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer Mittelfruh (5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer Mittelfruh (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Bavarian Lager, Wyeast.
Log: 2 day diacytel rest after primary.
Carbonation: 1/2 cup corn, bottle.
Tasting: Will update.
1/29/01: Racked into secondary after 33 days in primary. Gravity around 1.021. Man.....does this taste good so far! Going into seconday. 5/22/01: Next time I will cut down on the hops (eliminate Crystal and substitute more Pils malt for Munich).
