| Steep: | Place grain bag in 1.5 gal cool water and slowly heat to 155°F. Steep for 45 minutes at 155°F. Sparge with 0.5 gal water at 175°F. Collect runnings to brewpot. | |||||||
| Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.151 | 2 gallons | |||||
| 6 lb. Light dry malt extract | ||||||||
| 1 tsp Irish Moss for last 15 minutes of boil. | ||||||||
| Hops: | 2 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.) 1 oz. Cascade (aroma) |

| Yeast: | While Labs 001 - California Ale | |||||||
| Log: | Ferment 7 days at 70°F. Rack to secondary, add 1 oz Cascade hops (dry hop) and 4 oz oak chips. Allow in secondary 10 days at 60°F. | |||||||
| Tasting: | I first made this for a buddy's bachelor party. I had my keg sitting side by side with Sierra Pale Ale. Time and time again my hophead friends chose mine over the Sierra. Good enough for me... this one's a keeper. | |||||||
