Griffin's Irish Ale
One of my favorite summer brews. Mighty tasty when served ice cold on a hot day.

| Water: | Add 2 teaspoons of gypsum at start of boil. | |||||||
| Grain: | 8 oz. American crystal 20L 4 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils) |

| Steep: | Steep grain at 170F for 30 minutes. | |||||||
| Boil: | 90 minutes | SG 1.062 | 6 gallons | |||||
| 8 lb. Light dry malt extract | ||||||||
| Add 2 pounds DME to water and boil while grain is steeping. Add steeped water to boil along with Nugget hops at 60 minutes. After final hop addition at 15 minutes, add a Whirlflock tablet and remainder of DME. | ||||||||
