A Different Pale Ale
Don't get me wrong, I like Pale Ales as much as the next guy. But sometimes I feel like they can be overboard on the hops, or just taste the same. I'm a little done with the chinook flavor... so I decided to use some hops that aren't typically found in pale ales. Lager hops actually.

| Tasting: | Not nearly as powerful or bitter as some other Pales I've had, but the flavor from the hops varieties stands out. The hallertauer is especially peppery. I really liked the nugget hops too. I'll probably use those as my bittering hops from now on when making this style of beer. Overall, a wonderful beer and I'll probably do it again. In the future I might try adding some water salts or even increasing the ammount of hops. | |||||||
