Wispy Blonde
Not exactly an American Pale, more like an ale version of
a Bohemian Pils, showcasing German malts and Czech hops.
Note the recipe is for 6 gallons.

| Mash relatively low in the saccharification range, around 150�F. | ||||||||
| Boil: | 75 minutes | SG 1.043 | 7. gallons | |||||
| Keep the boil time short to avoid extra darkening of the wort. | ||||||||
| Hops: | 3 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.) 0.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 0 min.) |

| Yeast: | Wyeast 1056 American Ale, or something suitably low-impact. | |||||||
| Log: | Ferment at the low end of the range for the yeast you use. | |||||||
| Carbonation: | Carbonate at normal or slightly higher level. | |||||||
| Tasting: | This should come out as a pale, crisp, clean brew. Usually I do this as the second runnings from my Blonde Bombshell pale strong ale (or Czech barleywine, if you will), but this time around I just wanted to brew it up straight. If you want to serve it to people who don't like bitter beer, drop the bittering hops down to 2 ounces. | |||||||
