This is my partial-mash take on the best American Pale Ale
brewed in this country, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

| Mashed in 1 qt./lb. 160°F water (2 quarts) 60 min. steep @ 155°F Sparge with 2 quarts @ 170 degrees Add malt extract and bring volume to 2.5 gallons. |

| 1/4 tsp. Irish Moss (15 min.) After boil, put boil pot in ice water for 30 min. -- covered Then pour into primary half filled with 35 degree water. Mix well, but don't splash. |
