Bluberry P.D. Ale
A very fruity flavor with a hint of esters from the trappist yeast.
A definite winner with the women.

| Steep: | Bring water to 180°F and let grain steep for 30 minutes | |||||||

| 4 lb. Light malt extract 2.2 lb. Rice extract 1. lb. Honey |

| 1 tsp Irish Moss 10 minutes before end of boil. 1/2 tsp Wyeast Yeast Nutrient (Not alot of malt in this recipe) |

| Hops: | 1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.) .5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 10 min.) 0.1 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 10 min.) .5 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma) |

| Log: | After 5 days in primary, rack to secondary and add 3lb can of blueberry puree(Oregon brand) Add 4 oz bottle of blueberry flavor at bottling. (The added bluberries will boost alcohol content to around 6.9-7.1%) |

| Tasting: | The Oregon puree did not really add any blue color. It is still a nice amber color. As it ages, the blueberry flavor becomes more prevalent. |
