Dr. Brown's beter late then never brown ale
This is a conglomerate of a few different recipes I found around here and in books. Looking to reproduce the flavor of a brown ale with higher alcohol levels. that way it is mo' better.

| Grain: | 1.0 lb. British crystal 50-60L .25 lb. British chocolate |

| Steep: | all grain was put in a muslin bag and steeped at 160°F for 20 min. | |||||||
| Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.087 | 3 gallons | |||||
| 3.3 lb. John Bull Amber malt extract 3.3 lb. John Bull Amber malt extract |

| dumped in the 2 cans of John Bull amber extract. 1 tsp. of Irish moss 15 min before end of boil. | ||||||||
| Hops: | 1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.) 0.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.) 0.5 oz. Willamette (aroma) |

| Yeast: | Wyeast # 1318 London Ale III. In RTP tube. Added directly to cooled wort. | |||||||
| Log: | Well this was the first time I have used the "shampoo tube" Wyeast. I don't really know what happened but I didnt get much fermentation for about 20 hours. So I decided to buy another tube and areate some. 7 hours later and 2 tubes of 1318 later High Kreasen. =) | |||||||
| Carbonation: | Im going to carbonate the batch in the bottle with the recommened ammount of 100g of corn sugar. UPDATE ok i didnt use corn sugar. i forgot to buy it! so i used 200g of LIGHT DME instead! |

| Tasting: | Havent tasted yet. But If I do make this recipe again I would use 2oz of bittering hops. Instead of 1oz. | |||||||
