| Type: | Extract w/grain | Size: | 5 gallons | |||||
| Color: |
|

| OG: | 1.110 | FG: | 1.024 | |||||
| Alcohol: | 11.0% v/v (8.7% w/w) | |||||||
| Water: | I added 1 Tablespoon of Burton water salts to the bottled water that I used. | |||||||
| Grain: | 8 oz. American crystal 40L 4 oz. American chocolate 4 oz. American black patent |
|||||||
| Steep: | Steep the grains for 30 minutes at 150°. Then remove them before raising the temp to boiling. | |||||||
| Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.110 | 5 gallons | |||||
| 13 lb. 8 oz. Light malt extract 1 lb. Molasses |
||||||||
| I do a full 5 gallon boil. If you boil less than that you'll have to increase the hops to get the same final result. | ||||||||
| Hops: | 3.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.) 5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.) |
|||||||
| Yeast: | Wyeast 1028 does a nice job with this. | |||||||
