Type: Extract Size: 5 gallons
Color:
6 HCU (~5 SRM)
Bitterness: 15 IBU
OG: 1.052 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.130 2 gallons
4.85 lb. Light malt extract
1.39 lb. Wheat extract
0.69 lb. Honey
Hops: 1.38 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: White Labs Heff Ale Yeast
Log: Heated up 2q of water to boil, added sugar, can extract, DME and honey. Boiled for 15 min then added crushed mandarin oranges boiled for 15 mor min. Added to fementer, pitched yeast at 78 deg. Hard time to keep yeast active. Warmed with warm tub water x2. Violent ferments both times. Primes with 8 oz sucrose.






Carbonation: Primed with .75c sucrose
Tasting: 13Apr08 very good head retention, very aromatic beer with a nice banna finish.
