Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
18 HCU (~11 SRM)
Bitterness: 18 IBU
OG: 1.046 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 4.0% v/v (3.1% w/w)
Water: Will utilize 2.5 gallons of distilled water to soften the water a bit.
Grain: 7 lb. British pale
1 lb. British brown (self-roasted)
12 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
2 oz. British Carastan light
4 oz. Peated Malt
Mash: 75% efficiency
Single infusion mash at 158F for 60-75 minutes (til conversion). Mash out at 165F
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.036 7 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: WLP 0028 yeast used. Starting ferment at 72F to kick it off, then transfer to 55-58F fridge for 10 days.
