Steep: | In a separate pot add grains to 1.5 gal. 125°F water. Let steep covered for 15 min. Add heat to raise temp slowly to 160°F over 45min. stir constantly Sparge using 2 gal 125°F water into your brewpot. | |||||||
Boil: | 90 minutes | SG 1.055 | 5 gallons | |||||

Add water and malt extract to bring total volume to 5.5 gal. bring to a boil. Boil for 30 min before 1st hop addition. Boil for 30 min. more for second hop addition. Boil for 10 min more add 2 tsp Irish Moss. Boil for 18 min. add last hops. Boil for 2 more min. then cool as fast as possible. | ||||||||
