Claire Bear Strawberry Wheat

A strawberry wheat beer made in a Mr Beer fermenter.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 2.5 gallons
Color:
5 HCU (~4 SRM)
Bitterness: 6 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 4.7% v/v (3.7% w/w)
Grain: 7.5 oz. American crystal 10L
3.5 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Grains steeped in .75 gallons water at 160° for 45 minutes.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.132 1 gallons
3.3 lb. Wheat extract
Add extract and hops and boil for 60 minutes.
Hops: 0.33 oz. Hallertauer (3.9% AA, 60 min.)
0.17 oz. Hallertauer (3.9% AA, 20 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1010 American Wheat
Log: Add 3 cups pureed strawberry filling to wort before pitching yeast. Ferment for 2 weeks.
Carbonation: Bottle in quart bottles with 2.5 tsp corn sugar.
