Fourth of July

My first attempt at a wheat recipe.

Beer: Fourth of July Style: American Wheat
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
3 HCU (~3 SRM)
Bitterness: 16 IBU
OG: 1.055 FG: 1.018
Alcohol: 4.8% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: Rusty tap water.
Grain: 4 oz. Belgian pale
4 oz. Wheat malt
4 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Steep grains in 2 quarts water warm to 160° F and let rest for 45
minutes. Sparge with 2 quarts water that has been heated to 160° F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.079 3.5 gallons
7 lb. Wheat extract
Add 2.7 Gallons to the sparge for a 3.5 Gallon boil.

1 tsp Irish Moss in last 20 minutes of boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (aroma)
Yeast: WYeast 3056 Bavarian Wheat
Usually pitch from the tube this time I am using a starter.

Carbonation: 2.4 volumes Corn Sugar: 3.84 oz. for 4.5 gallons @ 72°F
