Cascade Ale

OG: 1.051 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.0% v/v (3.9% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. British pale malt
1 lb. American crystal 15L
4 oz. American crystal 35L
Steep: Steep grains at apx. 155° F for about 30-40 minutes. Then strain into brew pot with extract. Bring to a boil, then add hops. One ounce of aroma hops is saved for dry hopping one week later.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.085 3 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: 2 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs California Ale yeast, or recultured yeast from a 12 oz. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
Tasting: Cascade hops flavor and aroma make this beer one for cascade hops lovers.
