Grain: 45g American victory
68g American crystal 10L
45g Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
45g Flaked barley
Steep: Steep at 155°F for 20 minutes
Boil: 30 minutes SG 1.089 1.25 gallons
1.29kg Light malt extract
Hops: 7.4g Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.)
3.7g Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 30 min.)
3.7g Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Muntons Dry
Log: Brewed 9/21/08. Total Brew Time 2 hours 45 minutes
Bottled 9/29/08
Tasting: A light cloudy (non-filtered) caramel color with a well balanced carbonation. Malty nut smell with a semi-sweet initial taste, a smooth medium fullness considering the abv. The finishing provides a crisp refreshing taste that makes you appreciate this wonderful brew.
