Rocky Mountain Ale

This is an attempt at cloning Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Quite possibly
the finest ale on the planet.

Type: Partial mash Size: 5.0 gallons
Color:
11 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 27 IBU
OG: 1.056 FG: 1.013
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: None (2.5 tap -- boil) and (2.5 Bottle -- primary)
Grain: 1.5 lb. Pale Malt
.5 lb. Crystal
Mash: 100% efficiency
For grains I used the following:
30 min @ 122 degrees -- protein rest
30 min @ 145 degrees -- Alpha
60 min @ 155 degrees -- Beta
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.112 2.5 gallons
6 lb. LME
1 tsp. Irish Moss -- 15 minutes
Hops: 1.5 oz. Cascade (5.0% AA, 75 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056 -- started slow (36 hours)
Log: Primary 8/2 pm
Racked/Bottled 8/11 am
Carbonation: Primed: 7/8 c. corn sugar
Tasting: pleasantly bitter on racking
