Alcohol: 6.3% v/v (4.9% w/w)
Water: City water in Charleston, SC is pretty good so we use it.
Grain: 10 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 40L
Mash: 75% efficiency
Liquor at approx. 170°
Mash in at 155°
60 min rest
sparge w/ 4gal at 180°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.076 4 gallons
Whirlfloc tab and yeast nutrient 15 min in the boil
Hops: 2 oz. Centennial (9% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (7.6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (7.6% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (aroma)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: wyeast #1056 american ale
Log: Dry hop with 2 oz Cascade 5.9% AA
and .5 oz Kent Goldings 5.6% AA
Carbonation: Racked to 5 gal. corny keg
force carbonate at 30psi
Tasting: Will let you know when its done. Hoping for a very hoppy ale with lots of nose. Refreshing yet satisfying.
