Texas Summer Ale

This is a light summer ale for HOT Texas days. It does produce a
kick of alcohol so be sure to warn your guests, especially if they're
used to Coors Light.

Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
5 HCU (~4 SRM)
Bitterness: 13 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.006
Alcohol: 6.5% v/v (5.1% w/w)
Grain: 10 lb. American 2-row
1.5 lb. Wheat malt
1 lb. American Vienna
.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 65% efficiency
Mash 1 hour at 155 degrees
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.052 6 gallons
Add 1 tsp. of Irish Moss 15 min. before the end of the boil
Hops: .25 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs East Coast Ale
Log: Primary: 1 week at 75 degrees
Secondary: 1 week at 75 degrees
