Mule Poo Pale Ale

Bitterness: 35 IBU
OG: 1.052 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 5.7% v/v (4.5% w/w)
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.143 4 gallons
12 lb. Light malt extract
3.5 lb. Corn sugar
One teaspoon of Irish Moss was used 15 minutes before the end of
the boil.
Hops: 2.5 oz. Nugget (12.7% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (5.8% AA, 30 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (5.8% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
1 oz. Cascade Leaf (aroma)
Yeast: Four 6 g. packs of Muntons dry ale yeast was rehydrated and added
to a 1 gallon stater. The yeast was started 3 days prior to brew
day. The starter was 1.050 specific gravity, made with corn sugar.
Each day an additional tablespoon of sugar was added.
Log: Fermentation temperature was 60 degrees F. The primary took 2.5 days
to complete. Dry hopping was initiated on transfer to the secondary.
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Corn Sugar: 8.92 oz. for 11 gallons @ 60°F
