Water: Distilled water from Publix
Grain: 0.5 lb. American 6-row
0.1 lb. American crystal 90L
0.5 lb. Flaked barley
0.5 lb. Flaked oats
0.25 lb. American crystal 10L
0.25 lb. Flaked rye
Steep: Grain steeping in a nylon bag. NOT shaken or squeezed at the end. Heat up to 165°, NOT HIGHER, then turn off the heat, or put on low for about 1/2 hour. Whole steep should take about 1 hr.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.093 3 gallons
0 lb. Light malt extract
1 lb. Honey
1 lb. Light dry malt extract
5 lb. Extra Light DME
Add irish moss. 1 tbs last 15 min of boil
Hops: 0.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
0.25 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 60 min.)
0.25 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
0.1 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: Safbrew-S33. Packet. Starter with 2 cups water and 1 cup DME.
Carbonation: 2.6 volumes Corn Sugar: 5.43 oz. for 5.5 gallons @ 72°F
