Alcohol: 4.5% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Water: Untreated well water.
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 40L
Steep: one pound of crystal 40L @ 160° for 30+ minutes
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.060 4 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
Brewed on 2/28/07
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: White lab pitchable 001 California Ale
Log: One week primary plastic bucket @ 70°
One week secondary glass carboy @ 70°
Carbonation: 2.7 volumes Corn Sugar: 5.01 oz. for 5 gallons @ 70°F
5 oz of corn sugar with two cups of distilled
water to prime.
Bottle condition for two weeks.

Tasting: Awesome. My first homebrew. Better than expected.
The calculator comes up with 57 IBU but doesn't
taste that high really.
First beer on 3/27/07.
