American Liberty Style Ale

Hoppy with alot of body. Nice amber color. Refreshing and easy to drink. Good for warmer months.

Bitterness: 24 IBU
OG: 1.043 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 4.0% v/v (3.1% w/w)
Water: Hard water.
Grain: 7 lb. 2-row Pale
1 lb. Crystal (british)
2 oz. Chocolate Malt
Mash: 85% efficiency
Mash in @ 145 Degrees.
Raise to 155 Degrees for 2 hours.
Mash out @ 175 Degrees for 5 minutes.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.034 7.5 gallons
1/2 TSP. Irish moss 15 minutes before end of boil.
Hops: .5 oz. Fuggles (4% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascades (6.1% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascades (aroma)
Yeast: California lager yeast fermented @ ale temperature.
Log: Dry hop with 1 oz Cascades 6.1%
Carbonation: On the high side.
Tasting: Tastes alot like the famous Liberty from S.F.
