OG: 1.045 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 4.6% v/v (3.6% w/w)
Water: Longmont, CO tap water.
Grain: 7.5 lb. American 2-row
10 oz. Belgian aromatic
6.0 oz. Belgian biscuit
6.0 oz. American crystal 15L
2.0 oz. American crystal 80L
3.5 oz. Roasted barley
12 oz. Flaked rye
Mash: 65% efficiency
12 qts @ 178°F. 60~90 minute mash @ 158°F.
Sparge with 5 gallons @ 175°F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.034 7.0 gallons
0.3 oz Irish Moss @ 15 min.
Hops: 0.5 oz. Centennial (9.1% AA, 60 min.)
0.5 oz. Centennial (9.1% AA, 20 min.)
1.0 oz. Centennial (aroma)
Yeast: 11 gr. Danstar Windsor dry ale yeast.
Rehydrated with 3 Tbs. corn sugar.
Log: Primary, 6.5 gal glass carboy - 13 days @ ~68°F.
Secondary, 5 gal glass carboy - 1 week @ ~68°F.
Carbonation: 2.6 volumes Keg: 11.2 psi @ 36°F
Keg It, Cool It & CO2 It!
Tasting: Very well received! This will be one of my standards
from now on. And they said you can't make an Irish Red
with Centennial Hops!
