Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Water: 2 tsp Gypsum in Mash water
Grain: 21 lb. American 2-row
0.5 lb. American crystal 40L
1.5 lb. American crystal 80L
0.5 lb. Rice Hulls
Mash: 73% efficiency
147-149°F for 45 min.
150-152°F for 30 min.
Mashout for 15 min.
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.056 11 gallons
1/2 tsp yeast nutrient at 60 min.
2 Whirlfloc tabs at 20 min.
Hops: 1 oz. Nugget (14.6% AA, 60 min.)
1.3 oz. Cascade Homegrown (6.5% AA, 15 min.)
0.5 oz. Mt. Hood (5.1% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade Homegrown (6.5% AA, 1 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (5.1% AA, 1 min.)
Yeast: Activator pak of Wyeast 1056 in a starter. 1.5 cups of LME in
1400ml H20 on stir plate the night before. Very active starter!
Log: Brewed 10-10-04. Used too much bittering hops, but luckily the
gravity was higher than should've been. Should balance out.
