This is a partial mash knock-off of the BYO clone recipe for Big Sky Brewing's Slow Elk Oatmeal Stout

Color:
70 HCU (~28 SRM)
Bitterness: 24 IBU
OG: 1.054 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: 1 1/2 tsp 5.2 Mash stabilizer, 1 tsp gypsum
Grain: 3 lb. American 2-row
6 oz. American chocolate
4 oz. American black patent
6 oz. Flaked oats
1 lb. American crystal 60L
8 oz. American crystal 90L
Mash: 70% efficiency
Mash grain in 2 gallons of water at 155° F for 60 minutes. Sparge with 1 gallon water at 170° F. Collect runnings and add to brewpot.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.099 3 gallons
3 lb. 3 oz. Coopers Light malt extract
1 lb. Muntons Extra Light dry malt extract
1 tsp Irish Moss at last 15 minutes of boil
Hops: 1.4 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham yeast drawn from a yeast cake of a previously brewed beer.
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Keg: 6.8 psi @ 40°F
