Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.0 gallons
Color:
94 HCU (~34 SRM)
Bitterness: 8 IBU
OG: 1.064 FG: 1.018
Alcohol: 5.9% v/v (4.6% w/w)
Water: i used 6 gallons of deer park spring water.
Grain: 6.9 oz. British crystal 70-80L
3.5 oz. American black patent
6.9 oz. Roasted barley
6.9 oz. Flaked oats
Steep: steep the grains at 155 degrees for 30 minutes
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.160 2.0 gallons
8 lb. Amber malt extract
irish moss at 45 minutes into boil
Hops: 1.23 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs "English Ale" yeast WLP002 Liquid
Log: primary feremtation 8 days at 74 degrees. rack to secondary for clarifacation another 6 days at 74 degrees.
Carbonation: in a small sauce pan dissolve 5 ounces of priming sugar with 2 cups of clean water. Boil for 5 minutes. Add to bottling bucket.
Tasting: let bottle condition for at least 21 days. enjoy
