Slow Elk Oatmeal Stout Clone

This recipe is nearly the exact same as that posted on BYO with a minor change. The flaked oats were replaced with "Naked oats". The clone posted on BYO was from the brewer himself so hopefully this clone will turn out as well.

Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: None, Philadelphia city water
Grain: 2.32 lb. British pale
7.4 oz. British crystal 70-80L
1.86 oz. British chocolate
1.24 oz. British black patent
1.86 oz. Naked oats
Mash: 80% efficiency
single decoction mash was performed
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.046 2 gallons
none
Hops: 0.31 oz. Kent Goldings (6% AA, 90 min.)
Yeast: British ale yeast in one batch, combination of brit and american in the other batch.
Log: Tasted at bottling 8/26/05 and results are great. Can't wait for carbonation.
Carbonation: 3.0 volumes Corn Sugar: 2.02 oz. for 1.6875 gallons @ 76°F
