Alcohol: 6.5% v/v (5.1% w/w)
Water: 1 tbsp gypsum pre-boil
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 120L
8 oz. American chocolate
4 oz. American black patent
8 oz. Roasted barley
1 lb. Flaked oats
Steep: Steep grain minus the oats 30 min @ 160F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.160 2 gallons
8 lb. Alexanders Sun Country Pale Malt
1 lb. Surefine Clover Honey
Oats added to boil with hops.
Irish moss last 15 minutes
Hops: 4 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: 30 Grams Danstar Nottingham.
Log: 1 week 70F. Primary
5 weeks secondary. one week 65F, 4 weeks 32F.
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Keg: 6.8 psi @ 40°F
Tasting: Creamy, Smooth with a little after bite in aftertaste. Bite possible from alcohol or patent/barley.
