John's first homebrewed ale, with pops help should come out good.

Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.059 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: 1teaspoon gyisum at mash to correct ph level
Grain: 8 lb. British pale
1 lb. Wheat malt
.5 lb. American chocolate
.5 lb. American black patent
Mash: 80% efficiency
mash in 3.7gallons at 168 degr. hold at150degr. until convertion.
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.049 6 gallons
whirlflock tablet at 60mins, yeast nutri. at 10mins
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: 2nd generation white labs irish ale yeast in a 1 qt starter
Log: brewed 3/5/06, ferment at 68 degr. for 7-10 days chill to 50degr. for 7 days 1cup d.m.e for primer and bottle.
