samadhi stout

my first all-grain. still fermenting. i had a stuck ferment @ first. i used wyeast irish ale...and will never use wyeast again! repitched w/ dry yeast slurry. racked to secondary. now i wait...

Bitterness: 60 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 5.4% v/v (4.2% w/w)
Water: straight cleveland tap.
Grain: 5 lb. British pale
1 lb. British crystal 50-60L
8 oz. British black patent
8 oz. Roasted barley
10 oz. Rolled oats
2 lb. Wheat malt
Mash: 65% efficiency
single infusion. mashed all grains for 60 min. dough in @ 168*F, then maintained @150*-152*F for entire 60 min.
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.041 5.5 gallons
added 1/4 tsp irish moss and 1/2 tsp yeast nutrient @ last 15 min of boil.
Hops: 2.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: first attempt: wyeast irish ale (never again!)
second: munson's dry, in 1/3 cup slurry
Log: brewed: 8/8/04
fermented: 74-76*F X 2.5 days
racked to secondary: 8/11/04
