Alcohol: 6.7% v/v (5.3% w/w)
Water: Carbon filter 2.5 gal, unfiltered soft 2.5 gal.
Grain: 4 oz. British pale
8 oz. German Munich
4 oz. American crystal 60L
2 oz. American black patent
8 oz. British chocolate
8 oz. Roasted barley
4 oz. Flaked barley
4 oz. Flaked oats
Steep: Steep crushed grains in 1.5 gal for 30 min at 150°F
Sparge with 1 gal same temp.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.134 2.5 gallons
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
3 lb. Amber dry malt extract
8 oz. Honey
Add Honey last 20 min of boil.
1 tsp Irish Moss last 15 min of boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale
Log: Primary and secondary fermentatiopn 7 days at room temp.
Bottle and age 1-2 months.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar for priming at bottling.
