Thanksgiving sodakeg batch.

Beer: Black Bear Style: Robust Porter
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
168 HCU
Bitterness: 35 IBU
OG: 1.054 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: tap (good hardness & ph)
Grain: .5 lb. British crystal 50-60L
.5 lb. German chocolate rye
1 lb. British black patent
Steep: 2-gal add teabag to 170°F, stir & squash occasionally for 30 minutes. Suspend bag & pour another gallon of 170°F water through the suspended bag, squeeze. Discard.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.089 3 gallons
6.6 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: some kinda ale yeast ... =)
Log: 2006-09-30, 62°F, 30min steep, 60min boil. Currently in primary fermentation.
Carbonation: Will rock/roll 5gal sodakeg till carbonated.
Tasting: Wort tastes great! Good sweet smokey hops with a balanced bitter.
