Monkey Milk

This dark brew will put you in a state of nirvana! You will hear this Porter call to you often and resistance will be futile, maybe we should have called this one "Borg juice". We love it and we hope you will too!

Alcohol: 6.4% v/v (5.0% w/w)
Water: San Clemente tap
Grain: 7 lb. American 2-row
8 oz. Belgian aromatic
8 oz. American crystal 120L
8 oz. American chocolate
8 oz. American black patent
8 oz. Flaked wheat
Mash: 71% efficiency
Mashed at 156° for 60 min. sparged with 170° water
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.051 6.75 gallons
2 lb. Honey
10 oz. Molasses
Irish Moss @ 15 to go in the boil
Hops: .5 oz. Perle (4.0% AA, 60 min.)
2.0 oz. Kent Goldings (3.3% AA, 15 min.)
2.0 oz. Fuggles (4.4% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: (2) WhiteLabs English Ale WLP002 pitched @ 75°
Log: Ferment at 68° until primary fermentation is complete
Tasting: Thick,Creamy, Velvety smooth porter with Chocolate and carmelized maltiness overtones. This one is spot on!
