We wanted to make a dry, full-bodied English porter.

Bitterness: 26 IBU
OG: 1.059 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. British crystal 70-80L
8 oz. American chocolate
1 lb. Roasted barley
Steep: Let grains steep while water was coming to boil, and then 35' @ 165ish
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.098 3 gallons
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
3 lb. Dark dry malt extract
Heaping tsp of Irish Moss @ 15'
Hops: 1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: White Labs Dry English Ale Yeast
Log: Brewed on 1/19/05
Bottled on 2/1/05
Carbonation: 2.2 volumes Corn Sugar: 3.58 oz. for 4.9 gallons @ 66°F
