Bitterness: 32 IBU
OG: 1.067 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 7.2% v/v (5.6% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 90L
.5 lb. British chocolate
Mash: 80% efficiency
Crystal and choco 30 min @ 155F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.084 4 gallons
1 lb. Brown sugar
3.3 lb. Light malt extract
3.52 lb. Amber malt extract
Extracts, brown sugar, 0.5 oz Perle and 1 oz Kent Goldings,and mash for full hour. Add 0.5 oz of Perle with 30 min left, and Irish moss for last 15 min.
Hops: .5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale
Log: Racked to secondary on day 11, kegged on day 24.
Carbonation: 20 psi, shake for 20 min, release excess pressure after 24 hours.
Tasting: Very nice! A little high on EtOH.
