45 HCU (~20 SRM)
Bitterness: 27 IBU
OG: 1.085 FG: 1.022
Alcohol: 8.1% v/v (6.4% w/w)
Water: No Treatment. Just used 6 gallons of bottled Pennsylvania Spring Water.
Grain: 3 oz. American crystal 120L
3 oz. Belgian Special B
3 oz. Roasted barley
3 oz. Weyermans Rauchmalt
Steep: Steeped grains 45 minutes at about 155°F.
Boil: 65 minutes SG 1.071 6 gallons
4 lb. Light malt extract
6 lb. Light dry malt extract
1/4 teaspoon Irish Moss Powder @ 20 minutes
Hops: 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: 1 vial White Labs #WLP028 Edinburgh Ale Yeast
Log: Pitched yeast @ 75°F.
Carbonation: 5 oz. Corn Sugar @ bottling time.
