Rogan's English Old Ale

Just something a little stronger aimed to be at its peak when the weather gets colder.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
21 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 44 IBU
OG: 1.079 FG: 1.018
Alcohol: 7.8% v/v (6.1% w/w)
Water: Pennsylvania Spring Water
Grain: 1 lb. British pale
12 oz. American crystal 20L
8 oz. American crystal 60L
Steep: Put grains in cold water. Brought temp up to almost 160°F. Steeped 50 minutes. Sparged with 1 gallon of 170°F water.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.065 6 gallons
8 lb. Light dry malt extract
Irish moss at 20 minutes left in boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: 1 vial White Labe Dry English Ale pitchable yeast (#WLP007). Also through in 1 "expired" vial White Labs Burton Ale pitchable yeast (#WLP023) just to get rid of it.
Carbonation: Bottled with 5 oz. Corn Sugar.
Tasting: Won't know until at least sometime in September.
