46 HCU (~21 SRM)
Bitterness: 32 IBU
OG: 1.055 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 5.1% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Water: I have very very good well water which I think is an advantage in brewing. I don't need add much of anything to it.
Grain: 14 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. Belgian CaraMunich
1 lb. American chocolate
3 lb. Rye (raw)
Mash: 75% efficiency
mash @ 154 degrees for 60 min.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.046 12 gallons
1 lb. Molasses
add Irish moss optional.
Hops: 1 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 60 min.)
1/2 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 45 min.)
1/2 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: just using some Fermentis common yeast strain
Carbonation: 1/2 to 3/4 cups corn sugar to carbonate.
