77 HCU (~29 SRM)
Bitterness: 58 IBU
OG: 1.065 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 6.5% v/v (5.1% w/w)
Grain: 2 lb. German Pilsner
8 oz. American crystal 80L
8 oz. Belgian Special B
8 oz. Wheat malt
Steep: Steep at 149°F for 45 mins, or until iodine test reveals starch
conversion is complete.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.053 8 gallons
10 lb. Dark malt extract (Liquid)
1 teaspoon Irish Moss added at 20 mins. left in the boil.
Hops: 1.25 oz. Brewers Gold (7.5% AA, 60 min.)
1.0 oz. Cluster (7% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Brewers Gold (7.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Cluster (7% AA, 15 min.)
1.0 oz. Cluster (aroma)
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham Dry Yeast used. 1 11 gram packet for this batch.
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Keg: 14.9 psi @ 45°F
Corn Sugar: 5.14 oz. for 6.0 gallons @ 65°F
This beer will be kegged & carbonated at ambient cellar temp.
~60°F. It will then be refrigerated.
