Tenderfoot ABA

I am very fond of Pete's Wicked American Brown Ale, and wanted to
try my hand at the style. This is NOT a clone, but rather an experiment
in a decent all around good beer.

Beer: Tenderfoot ABA Style: American Brown
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
36 HCU (~18 SRM)
Bitterness: 20 IBU
OG: 1.051 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 4.8% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: Boiled Tap water.
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 90L
Steep: Bring 3 gallons of water to a boil, remove from heat, and place
the 1 lb. Crystal 90L in steeping bag. After 30 min, remove bag
and add Amber LME. Return to heat for boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.086 3 gallons
6.6 lb. Amber malt extract
1 tsp Gypsum [60 min]
1 tsp Irish Moss [15 min]
Hops: .5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast #1056
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Corn Sugar: 3.13 oz. for 5.0 gallons @ 70°F
