Uptown Brown

This is a clone of Lost Coast's Downtown Brown, I used the info that I got from the Brewery to develop thi recipe.

Beer: Uptown Brown Style: American Brown
Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
52 HCU (~23 SRM)
Bitterness: 39 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.8% v/v (4.5% w/w)
Water: I used my Tap water and let it stand to drive off the clorine.
Grain: 11 lb. American 2-row
8 oz. American crystal 20L
8 oz. American crystal 40L
8 oz. British crystal 70-80L
8 oz. American chocolate
Mash: 60% efficiency
A 60 minute single-infusion mash at 154 degrees.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.041 7 gallons
Add irish Moss the last 10 minutes of the boil
Hops: 1.0 oz. Cascade (6.5% AA, 60 min.)
0.75 oz. Cascade (6.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: I used Wyeast 1056 American ale yeast. I pitched a 1 gallon starter. Poured off the liquid and pitched the sediment
Log: Ferment primary for 6 days @ 65 degrees.
Secondary for 10 days @ 65 degrees
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Keg: 6.8 psi @ 40°F
