Hising Island brown ale

Type: All grain Size: 22 liters
Color:
34 HCU (~17 SRM)
Bitterness: 32 IBU
OG: 1.050 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: treated all water I used. In 19 liters of
water I added 2,5 ml NaCl, 5 ml MgSO4,
0,5 ml CaSO4. 2,5 ml CaSO3 was added in
the mash.
Grain: 3500g British pale
250g British crystal 95-115L
100g British chocolate
Mash: 75% efficiency
Mashed on the stove. using 8,1 litres
of water that was heated to 60°C and
then added the grain.
Raised temp to 68°C and let it stand
for 90 minutes.
Lautered with 75°C treated water.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.048 23 liters
500g Brown sugar
Irish moss the last 20 minutes.
Hops: 30g Northern Brewer (10.0% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: British ale yeast, from starter.
