This fiery red ale is being brewed for the upcoming SVT getogether this summer. It promises to be hoppy and strong bodied.

Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 90L
.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Steep both Carapils and Caramel malt in steeeping bag as water warms to 180° F.
Boil: 80 minutes SG 1.050 6 gallons
7.5 lb. Amber malt extract
Hops: 1.25 oz. Northern Brewer (7.0% AA, 80 min.)
1.25 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056
Log: Brewed 4/29.
Carbonation: Keg carbonated.
