Best Bitter

This beer is scheduled for the BREW FUNK MEISTERS (a.k.a. B.F.M.)
brew off. Members of the BFM will brew this same recipe with
thier own system. Results will be tested (tasted) at the July

For Extract version, Substitute 5 lb. Light Malt Extract for the 2-Row.

Alcohol: 3.5% v/v (2.8% w/w)
Water: 2 tsp. Gypsum in mash water.
Grain: 6.0 lb. American 2-row
.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
.75 lb. British crystal 50-60L
Mash: 78% efficiency
Mash 60 min. at 153 deg.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.038 6.0 gallons
.5 lb. Brown sugar
1 tsp. Irish Moss
Hops: 2.0 oz. Kent Goldings (4.4% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (4.4% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast #1968 recommended.
