Easy to make, Hard to screw up.
Short lag from boil to belly; my house ale.
This recipe is a good base for tweaking.

Type: All grain Size: 5.25 gallons

13 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 29 IBU
OG: 1.038 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 3.9% v/v (3.0% w/w)
Water: No treatment, although we have very soft spring water.
Grain: 6 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. British crystal 50-60L
Mash: 78% efficiency
Single infusion mash @ 152f for 60 min in a cooler-tun.
Mash out, batch sparge.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.032 6.25 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
5/8 oz. Northern Brewer (8% AA, 15 min.)
5/8 oz. Northern Brewer (aroma)
Yeast: I use Nottingham ale, which is tolerant of my cold kitchen.
Tasting: U.K. Northern brewer dominates hop character.
