Honey Pale Ale

A really nice mix of malt and honey flavors with a hint of hoppyness

6 HCU (~5 SRM)
Bitterness: 17 IBU
OG: 1.066 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Water: City of Fremont water, strait-up.
Grain: 8 oz. Honey
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Steep grains for 30 minutes at 165°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.062 5 gallons
4 lb. Ultra Light malt extract
8 oz. Light dry malt extract
3 lb. Honey, Orange Blossom
Add 1/2 tsp Irish moss at start of boil
Add Whirlfloc at 20 minutes
Hops: 0.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
0.25 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
0.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
.025 oz. Northern Brewer (aroma)
Yeast: Nottingham Dry
Rehydrate in 4oz warm (86° - 92°) for 15 minutes
